Argonauta: informativa sulla privacy

Ultimo aggiornamento: 6 novembre 2026

In breve

Bambini

I tuoi diritti

Argonauta: privacy policy

Last updated: 6 November 2026

Argonauta is an app by Vincenzo Siciliano (Sic Studio). For any question about privacy: vincenzo@sicstudio.app.

In short

Argonauta doesn't collect personal data. There's no account. There are no analytics, ads or tracking. What you do in the app stays on your iPhone or iPad, and we don't see it.

Only for testing with TestFlight do we have your name and email address, if we invited you, and whatever you choose to send us: see below.

What stays on your device

All of this is deleted when you remove the app from your device. Like the data of any app, it also ends up in your device's backups, if you make them.

Location

With the «While Using» permission the app uses your location to:

Argonauta never asks for the «Always» permission. Your location doesn't leave your device. Only you send it to someone, with «Send My Location» or «Tell Someone Your Plans», from the iOS share sheet, to whoever you choose.

Camera, Photos and notifications

Argo

Argo answers with Apple's on-device model, where available, and only from the Atlas cards. Your questions aren't sent to us. The voice that reads the stories is the one of iOS.

When the app uses the network

The map and the content are inside the app, which also works offline. The app connects to the internet only in these cases:

Requests to Siri and Shortcuts are handled by Apple, under its privacy policy.

While testing with TestFlight

TestFlight is an Apple service, which handles your data under its own privacy policy. If we invite you by email, we know the name and email address you gave us. If you join with the public link, Apple doesn't show them to us, unless you write your email address in a feedback message.

If you send feedback or a screenshot, or share a crash report, Apple forwards it to us with some data about your device: model, iOS version, battery, network and carrier, time zone, free space and screen resolution. We use it only to fix and improve the app, a legitimate interest of ours (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). We read it in App Store Connect and delete it no later than one year after receiving it.

If you share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple sends us anonymous crash reports.

Children

Argonauta doesn't ask anyone for data, children included.

This website

This website uses no cookies or analytics; it is hosted on GitHub Pages, which logs visitors' IP addresses for the security of the service.

Your rights

The data on your device is yours alone: to delete it, just remove the app. For the data of the TestFlight test, you can ask us to access, correct or delete it, or object to its use, by writing to vincenzo@sicstudio.app. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

Changes

If the app changes how it uses data, for example with accounts or crews, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the new version.
